'Mrs. Shannon Bailey' 2014

 

    I am often asked where does my inspiration to write come from. I reply the people I have in my life and the most truth within that can be seen in this lady. I had three English tecahers in high school and Mrs. Bailey was the one who had the greatest impact on me. She, alongside the other two, are the reasons I write-the strong force and drive that has kept me interested in English and literature. I stop and look back to why I began writing, why I love it so much. These three amazing teachers always are the number one focus and reason. I would be no where without them and cannot thank them enough. You three have touched my heart and always have a place within it as the amazing educators and people you are. It is an illuminated honor to know you three and have had you as my high school English teachers. I am an author, but no amount of words can even be put together to describe you three and your impact on my life.

 

     You are some of the best and  I've seen the world and explored it all thanks to my English classes. It has been a memorable senior year and high school over my 4 years in the English department. I have come so far and have three amazing ladies to thank. I'd be no where without all of your dedication and wonderful knowledge of the literary world. Thank you especially for everything Mrs. Bailey. It has been quite the honor!-
